Meet Your Optometrist

Dannielle Martin, OD

Dr. Dannielle Martin earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 at the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. Prior to this, she had completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in biology.

During her education, Dr. Martin received additional training at externship sites in Alabama and Jamaica. After graduation, she gained additional clinical experience working in a laser eye surgery clinic and cataract surgeon’s office and has also acted as a clinical supervisor to students at the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Martin is an examiner with the Optometry Examining Board of Canada, which tests the skills of new optometrists seeking licensure in Canada. She has a keen interest in specialty contact lenses and children’s vision and is a provider with the Eye See…Eye Learn program for kindergarten students.

Outside of the office, you may see Dr. Martin shuttling her three children to soccer/swimming/ballet, or enjoying a meal out at one of her favorite local restaurants. Ask her for a recommendation if you’re looking for somewhere new!

We Recycle Your Used Glasses and Contacts

If you have a pair of used glasses lying around the house that you don’t wear anymore, we’d be happy to take them off your hands. We work with the Lions Club to help people around the world who don’t have access to proper vision care get the corrective lenses they need. We accept single vision, bifocal, children’s, reading, and safety glasses.

It’s not just glasses we can help with. Do you know you can also recycle your used contact lenses, empty cases, and solution bottles with us? By bringing them in, you’re helping to keep waste out of landfills and supporting our commitment to sustainability.

Contact us for more information about our recycling initiatives.
